Holiday Inn Club Vacations - David Walley'S Resort, Genoa

My recent stay at David Walley's Resort was a mixed experience. On one hand, the natural mineral hot springs were a standout feature, providing a truly relaxing atmosphere. However, I had some issues with the room setup and the service was lacking at times. The restaurant on-site was a bright spot with great food, yet the overall ambiance was a bit overshadowed by the need for updates and improvements.

David Wally's Resort offers a unique experience with its mineral hot springs, which are perfect for relaxation, and the staff is quite helpful. While the room was comfortable, there were issues like the misleading bed size and an outdated bathroom. The additional fee for the hot springs was a bit of a letdown, as it seems like it should be included given the resort's name. Overall, it’s a decent place for a getaway, but improvements are needed in certain areas.

The resort offers stunning views of the Sierra Nevada mountains, which truly enhances the overall experience. However, the facilities are quite dated, and the layout of the property is confusing, making it less enjoyable to navigate between buildings. Additionally, the dining options were a highlight, but the service left something to be desired, especially at check-in.

My stay at David Walley's Resort was a mixed bag. The location is beautiful, surrounded by nature and close to Genoa, which adds a charming, historical touch to the experience. On the downside, I had an unfortunate incident where some belongings went missing, leaving a bitter note about the staff's handling of lost items. A highlight, however, was the relaxing hot springs that provided some much-needed relief after hiking. While the setting is lovely, some aspects of the service need improvement.
